Donations $2 and over are tax deductible.

  • $20 could enable parents of someone with an eating disorder to attend a Butterfly face-to-face support group.
  • $50 could assist our National Helpline counsellors develop resources to support individual and family recovery.
  • $100could support more schools with the facilitation of our first digital body image program for
  • $300 could enable someone experiencing an eating disorder and their support person to attend a six week face-to-face recovery program.
  • $500 could assist a Butterfly sessional presenter to educate and empower teachers, students and parents within schools on prevention and early identification.
  • $1,000 could enable Butterfly to train and educate rural or remote community to deliver Butterfly’s recovery and carer support programs.
  • $5,000 could assist with the relocation of an entire family so their loved one can attend our Intensive Outpatient Program.

Butterfly is an independent, not-for-profit organisation.  We receive financial support, donations and in-kind support from State and Federal Government, numerous individuals, philanthropic trusts and foundations as well as corporate partners.

  • 45% government funding (used for National Helpline and NEDC)
  • 55% philanthropic support and corporate sponsorship – programs, education service advocacy, administration

A tax receipt will be posted or emailed within the week of making the donation and for donations made online, an order notification will be emailed post donating online and then a tax receipt sent within the week.

Butterfly is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) with Item 1 status and is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission and is a registered charity under the provisions of the Charitable Fundraising Act (NSW) 1991 – CF no. 18393. Donations $2 and above are tax deductible.

Donating to our Capital Fund will enable the long-term sustainability of Butterfly so that we can provide assistance and support to future Australians suffering from eating disorders and negative body image long term.

Donating to our General Fundraising meets the immediate needs of our programs and services.
