As part of your BodyKind August registration, you have access to three free live webinars delivered by Butterfly. Each session is designed for a different audience — school staff, community sports coaches, and parents of teens.
Tuesday 25 August | 7:00pm AEST | Zoom | For community-level coaches of girls aged 11–17
Body image is one of the leading reasons girls disengage from sport. As the Australian delivery partner for the Dove Self-Esteem Project’s Body Confident Athlete program, Butterfly’s Coach the Coach workshop builds the confidence and capability of community coaches to support body image in the girls they coach. The session covers the impact of coaching language, the role of body functionality over appearance, and practical strategies for creating inclusive environments where girls stay active and thrive.
Wednesday 6 August | 7:00pm AEST | Zoom|For parents and carers of secondary-aged young people
This 90-minute session gives parents and carergivers practical, evidence-informed strategies for supporting body image at home. You’ll explore how to respond when your teen is struggling with how they feel about their body, navigate conversations about food and movement without doing harm, and understand why the way we talk about and treat our own bodies matters more than we think.
Find out more about our prevention programs and how we can tailor them to fit the needs of your school or sports club.
