This interactive virtual workshop is designed for schools wishing to have young people actively plan and lead Body Kind Schools activities. The aim of the workshop is to educate, empower and inspire young people to champion being Body Kind in their schools. In the latter part of the session, students are invited to begin planning a communication/public service announcement to help their friends and peers understand what it means to be body kind.
Students of all genders and those who may be passionate about the topic are encouraged to participate.
Two sessions are available; for students in Years 6 – 8 and for students in Years 9 – 10.
In this session young people will:
- Explore body image and the key influences
- Unpack what it means to be Body Kind
- Examine what Body Kind leaders do
- Have the opportunity to use the activity on the Body Kind Schools Resource page to plan a public service announcement to inspire others to be Body Kind*
*For any student groups who have already done the PSA activity, alternative ideas will be provided. Please let firstname.lastname@example.org know, after your booking is confirmed.
Please note: There are limited number of school places per session. We kindly ask that you book only when any necessary approvals have been given and participating students have been identified. Bookings are treated as a firm commitment to participate rather than an expression of interest. If we do not receive student details within the specified time frame your place will be offered to others.
Please select the session appropriate to the year group who will be participating.
