Webinar program for carers | UEDR
Understanding Eating Disorder Recovery (UEDR)
Butterfly provides skills and support to people caring for someone living with body image concerns or an eating disorder so they can help their friend or loved one – while also taking care of themselves.
Caring for a person with an eating disorder can be a long-term and skilled commitment. Yet friends and families often need to provide care with very little training or support. This 6-week webinar based workshop will help you develop practical skills to support your loved one in their recovery.
Based on the book Skills-Based Caring for a Loved One with an Eating Disorder, UEDR will help you:
- Understand what might be happening for your loved one
- Understand and adapt your personal caring style
- Learn about helping to motivate change
- Develop new communication skills
- Manage difficult behaviours
- Connect with others going through a similar experience.
