Webinar program for carers | UEDR

Based on the Janet Treasure’s book Skills-Based Caring for a Loved One with an Eating Disorder, UEDR will help you:
- Understand what might be happening for your loved one
- Understand and adapt your personal caring style
- Learn about helping to motivate change
- Develop new communication skills
- Manage difficult behaviours
- Connect with others going through a similar experience.

Frequently asked questions
Anyone, anywhere in Australia, caring for a loved one experiencing or recovering from an eating disorder, whether they are a family member, friend, colleague or partner. Those experiencing an eating disorder are asked not to attend or listen in.
The facilitator will present via live webinar, while participants can type in questions. Numbers of participants in this workshop are capped.
There is no cost – the workshop is free.

If you would like to join future UEDR programs (dates to be confirmed), please email Helpline email – Butterfly Foundation with your expression of interest. We will be in touch with you when we have finalised the dates for future UEDR programs and (free) ticket sales are open.
UEDR is a Webinar format. This means you will need the internet, a smart device or computer, and access to audio (computer speakers, your phone audio, etc.)
We will send out login information to you once registration is complete.

Butterfly’s Virtual Support Groups are facilitated by trained peer facilitators who have lived experience themselves. Anyone over age 18 from anywhere in Australia is welcome to attend.
