Butterfly empowers teachers to support body image concerns in students with Body Kind Schools program

What: Body Kind Schools is an annual awareness initiative designed by Butterfly, Australia’s national charity for body image issues and eating disorders. Body Kind Schools provides free, evidence-informed resources and activities to schools, live webinars for professionals, and Body Kind Leadership workshops for students. Available for late primary, secondary and other youth settings, Body Kind Schools is a strength-based, prevention and mental health promoting initiative. It focuses on positive body image and being kind to your own body and to others. Please note it has not been designed for use within clinical or treatment settings.

When: Body Kind Schools commences from September 1st to align with Body Image and Eating Disorder Awareness Week (BIEDAW) that runs from 5th -11th September, but due to the flexibility of Body Kind Schools it can be run any time during September.

Who: Body Kind Schools has been developed for students in late primary and secondary school or other youth settings (11-18yo). (For younger students, check out Butterfly Body Bright.)
