Instagram launches ‘Own Your Feed’ Campaign in response to body image survey findings

Wednesday 5th September – Today, our CEO Christine Morgan opened Instagram’s launch of their new ‘Own Your Feed’ Campaign.

‘Own Your Feed’ has been launched during Love Your Body Week as a result of our Insights In Body Esteem survey findings, to help you make sure your time on social media is positive, inspiring, safe and empowering. Instagram are helping us #CHANGETHECONVO by providing tools to manage your experience on Instagram – including comments, time, privacy and follows.

CEO Christine Morgan, says “There is no online and offline world anymore, there is just the world. And the best way to change conversation is to look at how we can best use the platforms we are communicating on. We are so pleased Instagram have developed this initiative to support and empower their users to stay safe online.”

The event this morning involved people from key mental health oranisations, media and policy. Many thanks to panelists and our friends at Sportsgirl for making these survey results possible.
