An innovative and engaging eLearning program for Australian secondary schools

Body Kind Online Education is mapped to Australian curriculum, specifically designed for Australian secondary schools (Year 7-8 and Year 9-10) to address the influence of social media on body image, so that young Australians can have a safer and more positive experience online.

Topics that will be explored

  • Body Image and the influence of social media
  • Social media literacy skills that nurture body image
  • Society driven appearance ideals, comparison and appearance/weight-based bullying
  • Social media industries and the tactics employed that impact body image
  • The importance of shaping authentic social media content and experiences to support a positive body image
  • The role of self-compassion and help-seeking
