A letter to a sibling struggling with anorexia
To my little sister, I love you, and I know I don’t say it enough. You’re an amazing person and I’m so proud of how loving and caring you are. I know you have so much life to live and are struggling right now and I want to let you know that it’s ok to let people in, you might be surpised at how freeing it can be. Let those you trust know how you’re feeling, even the scary or bad days can be made brighter by letting someone in. Understand that this is a serious illness and it will include challenges, triumphs, struggles and that the road will be long, but I will always be there for you. I believe you can overcome this illness and I know that no matter what you will not be defined by this. I know this will not be easy and I may not always know the best way to help but everyone is here for you and we can help you get through this together.
