Louise's Story

Emergence

From the strangling vines
Clawing and suffocating,
The dark nights
Persisting and engulfing,
She rose.
Pushing and struggling.
Sweat trickling
Eyes stained with tears
Mind screaming for mercy,
She emerged with zeal.
The pain, the anguish
Transformed into anxious action, Superseded by a powerful push, Overridden by confident combat.
She was brave.
The light spread and Brilliance was beheld.
Marching ahead She stood in unity
As kin emerged Into the freedom of day.
