For the whole community
Prevention programs for the community
Body image issues and eating disorders don’t just impact individuals, they can affect everyone — family, friends and even whole communities.
Our prevention programs offer a community-based approach to the prevention of body dissatisfaction, disordered eating and eating disorders. We work with different community members — young people, professionals and parents — to increase understanding of risks, while also promoting protective factors to support body confidence in young people.
Many of the communities we work with are in regional and remote areas, so we emphasise building capacity to create lasting impact. Our unique range of evidence-based workshops and presentations can be tailored to your local needs.
Presentations for young people
Communities can choose from our age and developmentally appropriate presentations for young people delivered by extensively trained facilitators.
Professional workshops for people working with young people
Our workshops focus on prevention and give practitioners the knowledge, confidence and resources to support positive body esteem and healthy behaviours in young people.
Current Community Programs
Thanks to funding from Victorian State Government and the Corio Foundation we’re able to run a number of funded community programs.
