You can be part of a powerful community by becoming a regular giver and providing a protective circle of support for people impacted by eating disorders and body image concerns.

Eating disorders affect 1.1 million Australians every year, but government funding isn’t guaranteed, so we need to grow our Circle before this number gets any higher.

We know that the best way to tackle eating disorders and negative body image is to approach it from many angles. Through our advocacy campaigns we can help reduce the number of people experiencing an eating disorder or negative body image. And when it does occur, we can offer support to the individual as well as their loved ones throughout their recovery journey to help avoid relapse.

But this isn’t possible without a steady income to let us plan ahead and maintain our education programs, Helpline, treatment facility, support groups, and more.

That’s why we’re asking people like you to sign up and join the Butterfly Circle today, so that together, we can be there for those who need it most. By joining the Butterfly Circle, you will not only help people with eating disorders and body image concerns, but also help prevent it from happening to anyone else.

Will you join the Butterfly circle today?

If you have any questions or need help with signing up to join the Butterfly Circle, please contact us by emailing info@butterfly.org.au, or call us on 02 9412 4499.

Yes! After you’ve signed up to join the Butterfly Circle, we’ll send you a welcome pack in the post and a confirmation email. At the end of every financial year, you’ll receive a tax receipt with a breakdown of your monthly gifts.

Monthly giving is the most effective way to donate because it gives us foresight. It’s the most reliable source of income, so we can worry less about raising funds which allows us to plan ahead for important projects that will provide the most support to the people affected.

Your monthly gift will have a long-term impact, making a difference to the lives of future generations to come. We know that body dissatisfaction is a significant risk factor to the development of an eating disorder. One of the programs you would help fund is our prevention programs designed to tackle body dissatisfaction and reduce body image concerns. If children, teachers, carers, and parents improve their body image and the way they view others – can you imagine the butterfly effect of them passing this on to the next generation?

And giving monthly is convenient! We know times are challenging, so you can select how much you’re comfortable to donate, choose the date you’d like to start, and it will automatically be deducted every month. This saves you time and reduces our admin fees. You can change the amount, date, or frequency of your gifts at any time.

Your monthly gift will support one of the many programs and services that we currently provide for our community, from prevention and education programs, to support groups, our Butterfly National Helpline and our residential treatment facility Wandi Nerida – these all rely so heavily on financial support from people like you.

We currently accept credit cards and debit cards, Electronic Funds Transfer, and cheques – but please be mindful that banks are removing cheques soon! If you’d like our bank details to set up a direct debit from your account, please call us on 02 9412 4499.

You can change how we contact you at any time. Please get in touch by emailing info@butterfly.org.au or call us on 02 9412 4499.
