Being Body Bright
Audience: Years 5 – 6 (10 – 12 year olds)
Session Length: 45mins -1hr
Group Size: 20 – 200
Late primary is a key stage of physical and emotional development, when puberty, peers, friends and the media are significant influences on children’s body image and self-esteem.
Butterfly presenters address these sensitivie topics, including the role of appearance teasing and bullying, in a strength-based way. The session engages through quizzes, discussions, activities and video – with real-time experiences weaved in so students can feel BRIGHT in their body
This Butterfly facilitated presentation is also suitable for registered Butterfly Body Bright schools. Whilst it does not replace Body Bright lessons it is a compliment to the program.
