Butterfly has a range of spokespeople available including Butterfly’s CEO, eating disorder and body image experts, people with a ‘lived experience’ case studies, education and counselling experts.

Resources for media professionals

Journalists and the media play a powerful role in encouraging help-seeking and increasing community awareness about eating disorders and body dissatisfaction. However, these illnesses can be difficult to sensitively and accurately portray. We encourage media to use the following resources when reporting on eating disorders and body image concerns to reduce the chance of harmful impacts on those experiencing, or at risk of developing an eating disorder.
