Congratulations to our Women of Influence for 2014
Congratulations to our Women of Influence for 2014
The Butterfly Foundation would like to congratulate several of this year’s recipients of the 100 Women of Influence Awards for their outstanding contribution and ongoing support of eating disorders in Australia.
The Australian Financial Review and Westpac 100 Women of Influence Awards showcases the country’s highest-achieving women for 2014. Among the winners are some of The Butterfly Foundations most influential supporters, including Jaelea Skehan, Director Hunter Institute of Mental Health, Jamila Rizi, Managing Editor of Mamamia, Mia Freeman, Publisher and Owner of Mamamia, Amanda Sainsbury Sallis, Boden Institute of Sydney University, Elizabeth Broderick, Australian Sex Discrimination Commissioner, and Elizabeth Scarr, Program Leader for Mental Health at the CRC.
While making a significant difference in each of their chosen fields, all six of these women have also shown amazing support for the Foundation through their efforts in raising awareness of eating disorders and body image across the country.
“These women are nothing short of extraordinary and we cannot thank them enough for their incredible support,” says Christine Morgan, CEO The Butterfly Foundation. “These awards are a fantastic opportunity to recognise and celebrate each individual’s outstanding achievements and to highlight how the efforts of just one woman can lead to positive change.”
