Love Your Body Week
for Schools

6th–12th September 2020

Finding ways to like, love or be OK in your body can be challenging in the world we live in today, especially for children and young people.

You can help young Australians respect, appreciate and feel good in their bodies by jumping on board with Love Your Body Week for schools, every September.

What is Love Your Body Week for Schools?

Love Your Body Week for Schools is Australia’s largest positive body image movement for young people.  It invites all Australians working in primary and secondary schools and other youth and community organisations to come together to celebrate diversity and build body confidence in young people.

Why participate?

It’s fun, flexible and FREE! You choose what you do, from the range of easy to use resources, and when you do it.

It’s an opportunity to shine a light on young people’s body image at some point in September. Use it to kick-start work or support existing wellbeing programs.

What’s included?

Once registered you will have access to free online resources from the experts at Butterfly; everything you need to build body confidence this Love Your Body Week!

This includes workshop content, classroom activities, posters, digital clips, a whole of organisation awareness activity, Dress To Express, and more!

Why not Dress To Express this Love Your Body Week?

Dress to Express is a whole school awareness activity designed to support the messages of Love Your Body Week.  It’s about encouraging young people of all ages (from kindergarten through to senior students) to be proud of who they are and to embrace all bodies, no matter their shape or size.

Dress to Express asks everyone to wear a TOUCH OF SOMETHING to reflect their inner self – inherent qualities, passions, hobbies, or cultural background – on the outside.

Turn your Dress to Express event into a fundraiser with a ‘gold coin’ donation to Butterfly and help support prevention initiatives around Australia!
